Privacy Policy

1. Scope and current implementation

This policy describes the Education Center’s current site behavior and the practices that require operational confirmation. Other GGN platforms and external providers may have separate policies. This site currently has no account registration, enrollment form, or direct payment-entry form.

2. Information you voluntarily provide

If you contact GGN or enroll through a linked service, you may provide contact details, correspondence, and program or enrollment information to that service. Its forms and policy govern that collection. GGN may need relevant enrollment or payment-status information to administer access, but the exact information received and its handling must be confirmed with the program operator. Avoid submitting sensitive health details in search or contact messages.

3. Search and Jake interactions

The header search and Jake currently match text against educational records in your browser and display navigation links. This application does not send those queries to an AI service or search server, persist a conversation history, or store query text in browser storage. Following a result sends a normal page request to the destination. Jake provides education and navigation, not diagnosis or medical or mental-health treatment.

4. Technical information, cookies, and analytics

Requests to the site necessarily provide technical information such as an IP address, requested URL, browser information, and request time to the hosting infrastructure. Hosting or security providers may maintain operational logs; their exact settings and retention need owner confirmation.

The application code currently sets no tracking cookies and contains no analytics or advertising integration. Optional bookmarks store educational record identifiers, titles and local destination links in this browser’s localStorage. The reading-size preference is also stored locally. These do not sync across devices or create learner progress. Clearing browser data removes them. Hosting, preview-access protection, browsers, or linked services may use their own cookies or storage. A protected preview may use an access cookie. Browser privacy settings can limit or clear cookies; doing so may affect access to some services.

5. Installation and translation

The optional installation control uses your browser’s installation flow. The browser manages the installed shortcut/application and its storage. The Center adds no offline cache or service worker that stores program or crisis content. An internet connection is needed for current content.

The optional Google Translate widget loads external Google scripts and sends page text to Google when you choose a translation. Google may set language-preference cookies and process data under its own privacy policy. Choose English to restore original text; clear browser cookies to remove saved language preferences. Artwork text may not translate.

6. Payments and Stripe

Existing program payment links open Stripe checkout. Stripe collects and processes checkout and payment information under its own privacy policy. This site does not receive card numbers through a card-entry form. Program operators may receive transaction and enrollment information needed to administer purchases; confirm the details with GGN before enrolling.

7. External links and resources

External resources, GGN platforms, and support providers operate separately. Opening a link exposes your visit and any information you submit to that destination. Review its privacy policy and settings. Directory verification does not guarantee another provider’s privacy practices.

8. Security and retention

No online service can guarantee complete security. Use a trusted device and connection, protect any credentials for linked services, and avoid sending confidential details unnecessarily. Search text exists only in the current page state. Operational, correspondence, and enrollment records, where held by GGN or providers, should be retained only as needed for their stated purpose and applicable obligations; specific periods have not been confirmed. 9. Your choices and requests

You can use public educational pages without an Education Center account, avoid optional external links or installation, clear browser data, and control browser translation and cookie settings. Ask GGN about information you have provided or request correction or deletion through the contact channel below. Available rights and exceptions depend on applicable law and the service holding the information; this draft does not assert a particular compliance status.

10. Children’s privacy

Resources about children’s grief may be used by caregivers and educators. The current Center does not offer child accounts or directly collect enrollment information from children. Caregivers should supervise use of external services and check their age requirements. If you believe a child has provided personal information to GGN, contact GGN so the situation can be reviewed.

11. Changes to this policy

This policy must be updated when actual site or provider practices change. Material changes should receive appropriate notice where required. Review the current policy before submitting information through linked services.
